Well Weathered
There is a real trend at the moment that celebrates homewares and furniture that appear weathered or recycled.
Think chipped or peeling paint surfaces, lots of texture and layers of colours. A rough and rustic finish that implies the piece has a history, a past, a story to tell. And indeed some of these do, H-Poem and Soundslike Home both use re-claimed timber in their pieces whilst the others provide the illusion but are straight off the showroom floor.
Are you a fan of this rustic revival? Has the time come for you to “re-claim” an area in your home?

Another great blog, have to comment on this one though – try EZIWALL timber wallcovering for the timber look of Piet Boon but quarter the price – and no messy glue, paste and you don’t need a wallpaper hanger either! http://www.theinside.co.nz/products/timber
Great pointer, thanks for the tip!
That wallpaper looks so real. Fantastic. I don’t know what I want first from this blog. Love them all.
