It was such a tough choice to decide which hotel to show you for Australia Day week as we have so many amazing places in such diverse settings. Australia really has it all, the sand and surf, the bustling cities, the green rainforests and the red desert center, all packed into our little, unique island! If you haven’t been here yet, you absolutely must come and explore as soon as possible.

Out Hermitage today is the Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island in South Australia. Most of the island is national park, so wildlife is abundant and the magnificent views and rock formations remain unspoiled. The hotel itself is perched on a clifftop, allowing each room to take in an amazing seascape view. People have been fascinated for years by Kangaroo Island’s unusual, natural rock formations. South Australia is also famous for its quality vineyards, so you are sure to be spoilt for choice in the beverage department during your stay! Stunning isn’t it?!
