Well in todays Hermitage they do just that. Welcome to the magical AnaYela hotel in Marrakesh, Morocco. A breath takingly beautiful palace that has been converted into a small boutique hotel. But here’s where the romance begins.

AnaYela translates to I am Yela, and is taken directly from a love letter that was found in a secret room of the palace at the start of renovations. It tells the story of a young Arab girl Yela who meets and falls in love with a man in the palace and their nightly rendezvous.

The romantic letter inspired the new owners so much that they based the whole hotel design on its contents. The letter itself has been painstakingly hammered in to the silver doors of the hotel so that you can actually read the original text, word for word as you pass through the hotel. Couple this with the stunning craftsmanship of the traditional Moroccan decor and you have a simply magical destination.
