There is always a lot of attention given to decorating your childs nursery but what happens as they get older?

Bedrooms need to morph and grow with your child and there are some amazing products out there to please everyone from toddler to teen. So I decided that this week we will explore some great examples of childrens decor,  items that are age relevant, inspiring and über cool.

First up, space themed items for a male toddler/tween room that will be out of this world. Dream big!

I’m dreaming of…

Sleigh beds! They are a stunning piece of statement furniture with mountains of character.

I have always loved the rolling curves of sleigh beds. They are quite commanding and do require a little more space because of their shape, but a sleigh bed is a timeless favourite that will look just as magical 20 years down the track as it does today.

Dashing right?!

Things are about to get mushie! But not in a PDA type of way.

Toadstools, I love them, cannot get enough of them! Previously I blogged about this stool and yes, months down the track I am still obsessed. I’m not sure if it is the cheery mix of red and white or the associations with fairies, gnomes or smurfs… (Yikes! I date myself here) but toadstools really are such a magical little fungi.

The cutest addition to a room for the small people in your life.
